Why we need you:

Proba is scaling decarbonization in the agri-food industry, and we need a passionate Tech Lead like you. You'll lead a talented team of engineers in developing and expanding our platform, implementing new product features and tackling complex challenges related to data management. Your expertise will help businesses to make sustainable choices faster and more effectively through the platform. The Role:

As a Tech Lead at Proba, you'll engineer, guide, and implement technical solutions and improvements to our insetting platform. You can get your hands dirty and do some coding, but you will also take ownership of the technology vision, strategy, and execution for our decarbonization platform. 

You will lead a team of developers and work closely together with our product manager and the rest of the team to deliver our business goals. You will ensure the platform meets the highest standards of performance and security, and drive the development of innovative solutions that help clients meet their decarbonization goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and drive Proba’s technology roadmap in alignment with business goals.
• Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of Proba’s insetting platform and ensure the platform remains scalable and secure.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (product, consulting, MT) to ensure successful delivery of features and solutions.
• Lead the design and implementation of key features.
• Conduct code reviews, technical evaluations, and architectural decisions.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in blockchain, AI and decarbonization to keep Proba ahead of the curve.

Qualifications:

• Curious mind
• 5+ years of experience in software development, including 2+ years in a tech lead or similar role
• Broad frontend and backend development expertise (preferably multiple languages)
• Experience with blockchain technology is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and microservices architecture.
• Pragmatic, excellent problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Passion for sustainability and/or climate action. 
• Fluent in English, strong writing skills
• 4-5 work days per week 
• You are located in the EU, ideally in The Netherlands. We’d like to see you in the office.
