OTT Technical Product Manager

Our OTT platform, VBTV, has grown to 1.5 million members and is central to our mission of delivering world-class content and digital experiences. We are seeking a tech-savvy Product Manager to lead the ongoing development and optimization of VBTV, collaborating closely with our technology partners: JWP, Applicaster, and Cleeng.

Role Overview:

As the OTT Technical Product Manager, you will own the technical development and product backlog for VBTV, ensuring a seamless user experience and continuous innovation. You’ll work at the intersection of technology and strategy, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver a best-in-class OTT streaming platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development & Management

• Lead the end-to-end development of VBTV, focusing on user experience, platform performance, and feature enhancements.
• Create and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with Volleyball World’s goals and the broader digital strategy.
• Manage the product backlog, prioritize features, and oversee sprint planning with development teams.

Partner Collaboration

• Serve as the primary liaison between Volleyball World and partners JWP, Applicaster, and Cleeng.
• Coordinate with partners on feature development, API integrations, and platform updates.
• Ensure SLAs are met and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.

User-Centered Design

• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to implement user-centric designs that enhance engagement and retention.
• Conduct market and user research to identify new features and improvements based on audience needs.

Technical Oversight

• Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and performance, addressing any technical challenges with a self-starter attitude.
• Monitor KPIs and analytics to assess the platform’s performance and identify improvement areas.
• Oversee compliance with data privacy regulations and security standards across all integrations.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Work closely with marketing, content, and operations teams to align VBTV’s development with business objectives.
• Facilitate clear communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a technical product management or engineering role, preferably within (live-)streaming, digital media platforms or other end-consumer facing products.
• EU / B permit.
• A strong understanding of OTT/streaming platforms and experience working with technology providers like JWP, Applicaster, or Cleeng is a major advantage.
• Technical proficiency in API integrations, digital streaming technologies, and subscription services.
• Proficient in technical web and application concepts with the ability to comprehend and analyze the functionality of the codebase.
• Proven track record of delivering complex, scalable, and user-centric digital products.
• Strong project management skills with experience in agile methodologies & tools
