Senior Software Engineer - (Kotlin/Java)

I'm partnered with a cyber security scale-up who help entrepreneurs to protect their business from hackers and are in collaboration with large banks in the Netherlands.

You will be part of a highly skilled Software Engineering team that is responsible for the development of our cyber risk information and cyber defense platforms.

You will help us with designing, building and managing our event-driven platforms, which includes our network sensor appliance and REST backend services.

Your Mission:

• You will be at the core of building and evolving our containerized services platform. You’ll focus on both our network sensor appliance and the backend systems, ensuring a secure and scalable infrastructure.
• You will work closely with Product Development and international cyber tech partners to ensure seamless integration of advanced features like AI-driven anomaly detection, threat analysis, and automated purple teaming.
• As part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, stability, and scalability of our systems. You’ll contribute to continuous improvements and introduce cutting-edge technologies that elevate our cybersecurity offerings.
• You’ll play a crucial role in translating customer needs into robust technical solutions. Your ability to understand complex issues and provide clear, actionable advice will strengthen our customer relationships.
• From cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes) to infrastructure as code (Terraform), you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all components work harmoniously to deliver a smooth, secure experience.

Your Experience:

• Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, and Kotlin is a nice too have.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS), containerization (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes), and preferably infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Experience with databases including InfluxDB, MongoDB, and Postgres.
• Agile/Scrum/DevOps experience, ensuring best practices in software security development.
