Job description:
HCL Tech is looking for a skilled Technical Program Manager for our team in Stockholm. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in spearheading end-to-end execution of client projects according to HCL Tech and client expectations.
We're looking for a TPM who can be responsible for providing project planning and management for established initiatives within a company. Ensure that projects are completed to specification, within an established time frame and budget. Act as a lead subject matter expert within the company regarding technology concerns. We want you if you're a versatile person, display individual leadership, and are enthusiastic to get to work every day and tackle new problems.
Responsibilities:
- Be a hands on leader by guiding the team to develop and maintain program plans, identify resource needs, and balance project schedules; lead strategy with other program team members and partners on progress, dependencies and risks.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of key initiatives.
- Mentor and train junior consultants, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.
- Proactively communicate with clients, including Weekly/Monthly project status, resource needs, and how to maximize results.
- Coordinate collaboration of the team members assigned to the project ,and various client stakeholders in relationship to the scope and timeline.
- Manage schedules and deliverables, ensuring projects stay on track and within scope.
- Organize and document internal and external meetings, including agendas, schedules, meeting notes, and recordings.
- Establish and maintain project documentation, including schedule status, stakeholder changes, client feedback, and resources.
- Provide clear and concise updates to the team regarding project status during weekly production meetings.
- Anticipate and analyze potential risks and communicate promptly to the stakeholders.
- Look for opportunities within projects for additional engagements and where clients will benefit from value centric ideas
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience in program management.
- Minimum 5+ years as a people manager.
- Experience in coding with Python and/or C++.
- Experience in data structures or algorithms.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and technologies.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing diverse challenges.
- Excellent verbal, written, and facilitation skills (including experience with facilitating meetings and engaging with an executive audience).
- Demonstrated experience and success leading high-impact, cross-functional programs or products.
- Possesses flexibility and has a history of delivering impactful, scalable programs.
- Ability to accelerate deliverables through taking calculated risks and experimenting with new solutions.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in Video/Audio processing would be an advantage.
