Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (System and ServiceNow Experience)

We are looking for an experience individual to join us as Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (System Administration and ServiceNow)! This will be offered as a contract employment.

You will work as a member of the Service Management and Insights Platform (SMIP) Team, assisting the Lead Engineer in supporting Agile solution delivery and managing key services on the whole-of-government (WOG) platform. The primary focus of this role is the administration and management of the ServiceNow platform, along with responsibilities for maintaining and optimizing other cloud infrastructure components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ServiceNow platform administration, cloud infrastructure management, and a passion for ensuring system reliability, security, and scalability.

A brief summary of your job responsibility:

• Manage the overall health and performance of the ServiceNow platform, including upgrades, patches, and maintenance;
• Configure and maintain ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, CSM) to align with business requirements;
• Ensure compliance with governance standards and best practices for the ServiceNow instance;
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues and incidents;
• Ensure optimal platform operation in terms of availability, capacity, security, and business continuity;
• Maintain and monitor cloud infrastructure components (e.g., AWS, Azure) to ensure high availability and performance;
• Assist in the design and deployment of secure and scalable cloud solutions;
• Implement cloud automation, orchestration, and monitoring tools
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues;
• Document procedures, configurations, and best practices for knowledge sharing;
• Identify opportunities for platform optimization and process automation;
• Recommend and implement enhancements to improve system reliability and efficiency;
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure infrastructure aligns with business goals;
• Collaborate with development teams to support customizations, CI/CD pipelines and integrations
• Ensure project implementation and operations are aligned with Government technology standards and policies;
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, application development, and business stakeholders and
• Perform any other IT related tasks / duties as and when assigned to support the smooth business operations.
  
  
  

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on-experience in ServiceNow platform administration;
• Proficient in System Administration (RHEL & Windows), Networks and Cloud Solutions (AWS, Azure);
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence and communicate effectively with non-technical audience and Senior Management
• Additional skills and knowledge will be an advantage:
• Network, System or Application Administration & Troubleshooting;
• Python Scripting;
• Bash Scripting;
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist;
• Exposure to On-Premise ServiceNow Deployments
• Cloud Certifications (AWS/Azure);
• DevOps Infrastructure
