AI Engineer

Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients an AI Engineer - this is a fully remote role, but candidates need to be based in the US.

As a member of the AI/ML team, you'll work on building fundamentally new applications using language models and some of the most interesting datasets in the world. You will play a critical role in the team and enable us to release new projects transforming how people interact with financial systems. You'll be joining an AI/ML team with vast intellectual freedom and latitude to explore new domains.

Our team spends most of our time building applications on frontier models from OpenAI and Google, along with a wide range of open-source models for multimodal tasks. Our focus is on agentic systems within finance, leveraging tool calling, structured outputs, and RAG workflows. We're currently building agents and an open-source framework for agent-centric companies. We are a well-funded team of 20 with several years of experience building AI/ML applications on blockchain data. The AI/ML team is supported by outstanding engineering and product teams.

We're looking for someone who thrives in new domains, excited about the opportunity to take on new challenges, and contributes fresh ideas that will shape the company roadmap. We regularly explore new projects, work on delivering in fast iteration cycles, and operate in without clearly defined requirements.

This role is remote first. However, applicants in NYC or near the US Eastern timezone are strongly preferred.

Requirements

Experience working with LLMs using structured output, RAG workflows, tool calling, etc. (provide examples)

Proficient in defining and creating systems driven by LLMs

Experience with Python and comfortable interacting with smart contracts programmatically

Experience and or interest in perpetual futures

Open Source Contributions
