Lead Technology Agile Coach

  • Plans and implements the strategy of adaption of engineering and /or agile Lowe's best practices in a immersive learning environment along side other Leap coaches and Scrum Masters
  • Collaborates closely with other coaches (Agile and Engineering) to enable Agile culture and engineering excellence in the teams
  • Builds relationships with managers and directors and periodically shares the progress along with risk/impediments /concerns observed during coaching efforts; Through coaching and assisting managers and portfolio leaders to remove impediments while empowering the adaptation of agility practices and implement them across the portfolio and all teams.
  • Makes recommendations to help establish and drive relentless improvement at the team and portfolio level
  • Continuously improves through learning new tools, technologies, and best practices and shares learnings with others
  • Contributes as a leader in agile, product and/or Engineering Communities of Practice (CoPs)

Agile Coach Responsibilities

  • Coach VPs and Sr. Directors to follow Lowes transformation strategy while measuring adaption of Lowes portfolio delivery standards
  • Consult, advise (coach) VP and Sr. Directors to Lowes standards of portfolio level delivery, performance metrics
  • Coach program and team level product managers on Lowes standards of the product health scorecard, assist them when possible in creation and reviewing of the OKR, PMOR and other metrics required by the product health scorecard
  • Coach teams on Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe or Scrum at Scale, etc.) by educating portfolio, product groups and teams on Agile ways of working, encouraging transparency, and Team to be Self-managed while building a continuous learning culture
  • Review, collaborate with Sr. Director and Principle Coaches to derive out of the portfolio productivity metrics a portfolio/ program / team level coaching plan and present to VPs and Sr. Directors for approval and execution
  • Educates and coaches teams on various capturing various metrics around agile delivery practices, and value delivery through OKRs and other measurable variables including metrics and business results.
  • Helps to identify the impediments impacting a team’s Agile journey and assist the team at recognising issues and coaching them on problem solving and implementation while working with team leaders to create sustainable long-term solutions
  • Actively collaborating with partner and guide communities of Practices at Lowe’s (Agile, Product, program management, SoS, and Business Owners CoP, Lead Coach CoP) be conduits for continuous learning and continuous improvement (Best in Class)
  • Supports strategy execution and special programs (coaching time, trainings)
  • Perform program and team level coaching as necessary while coordinating scope and availability with their direct Sr. Managers
  • Design/enhance training curriculum and content in collaboration with Principal coaches as part of new/existing leap offerings or portfolio coaching
  • Partner and guide Leap Ahead/BootCamp (BLR) program, L&D, offerings.
  • Portfolio/ Product Leadership influence on Agile and Product Best Practices
  • Coaches and mentors Scrum Masters and Tech Talent Pipeline to improve team coaching and development of Agile and Product mindsets throughout the product groups/ products.
  • Promotes and practices continuous learning, focusing on Lean, Agile and Product best practices while staying up to date on industry new trends and standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
  • 10+ years of total experience
  • Experience working in a global collaborative environment
  • Excellent listener with outstanding communication, facilitation and influencing skills
  • 4 years of Agile Coaching experience
  • CSM, PSM I, PSM II, CSP, ICP-ACC, Safe Agilist or equivalent Agile certifications preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
  • Experience in the Retail industry
  • Experience in large scale enterprise transformation using one or more Agile approaches
  • Experience with any scaling Agile framework like SAFe, LeSS, or Scrum at Scale etc
  • Experience or understanding of Design Thinking or Product Discovery
