Mobile Application Developer Manager

Engineering Manager focused on application development.

Work remotely from UK and get the opportunity to travel to Germany twice a year for social events.

About the Role:

This position is a balance between hands-on technical support (50%) and people leadership (50%). You will lead a team of six engineers, driving the enhancement and development of consumer-facing applications using Flutter/Dart. Key responsibilities include:

• Technical Leadership: Guide the team in designing and developing features with a focus on performance, security, and high-quality standards.
• People Management: Foster a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive culture while mentoring team members for professional growth.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers, to build a robust technology roadmap.
• Innovation: Advocate for best practices in architecture, code maintainability, and optimization.

Requirements:

• Experience: A minimum of 10 years of industry experience, with proven leadership in engineering teams.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Flutter/Dart and familiarity with multi-platform production development (web, mobile, and desktop).
• Knowledge of additional technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, or React is a plus.
• Strong documentation and problem-solving skills, with a focus on scalable, high-performance systems.
• Experience with cloud computing environments (AWS preferred) and privacy-by-design principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with native mobile development on Android (Kotlin/Java) or iOS (Swift).
