JOB- Project Manager (Design)

LOCATION- Manchester

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

My client designs, Manufactures and services a range of industrial air conveyance systems. They are looking for Design Project Manager to join their team in Manchester on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Project Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

• Qualified in Design Engineering (NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree or similar) or be QBE from working in a similar technical role
• Previous experience working with managing projects, Designing and R&D
• Be able carry out mechanical design and read engineering drawings
• have proficiency using 3D CAD - Inventor
• Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
• Have previous experience working within a similar manufacturing environment
• Have Previous experience with metal materials (Aluminium, sheet metal, etc)
• Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
• Be flexible to travel as required

The Mechanical Project Manager role will involve:

• Managing a team working on the company’s product range; the new product introduction process
• Being involved in managing new product developments
• Taking things from concept to launch
• Helping to develop existing products too
• Liaising with customers as required keeping them up to date with project progress
• Producing technical drawings as needed
• Offering technical support
• Sourcing and selecting components that are required
• be able to take part with the design team on drawings and utilising CAD
