Our Client is one of the largest TV providers in North America. We are looking for Network Engineer to maintain security, performance monitoring, Installing, configuring, securing, managing, and monitoring networking equipment in multiple data centers.
Responsibilities:
Device Management:
- Configure, monitor, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and other devices using NxOS, IOS, and IOS-XR to ensure high availability and performance.
Operating System Upgrades:
- Plan and execute seamless network device OS upgrades, minimizing downtime and maximizing security and feature enhancements.
Routing and Switching:
- Design and implement routing solutions using protocols like OSPF, ISIS, and BGP.
- Manage multicast configurations using PIM (Protocol Independent Multicast) for efficient data distribution.
F5 Load Balancer Management:
- Optimize and configure F5 Load Balancers to ensure efficient traffic distribution and high availability for applications.
Network Security:
- Deploy and manage security measures including Cisco ASA and Cisco FTD (Firepower Threat Defense) for robust network protection.
- Conduct regular security audits and implement measures to mitigate vulnerabilities.
Testing and Tools:
- Use advanced testing tools such as Spirent and Ixia for performance evaluation and stress testing.
- Utilize WireShark for deep packet analysis to troubleshoot network issues.
New Hardware Setup and Configuration:
- Set up and configure new networking equipment, ensuring integration with existing systems and optimal configuration.
Configuration and Documentation:
- Manage detailed network configurations and maintain comprehensive documentation and diagrams of the network infrastructure and procedures.
Mandatory Skills Description:
- - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- - Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- - Extensive experience with Cisco NxOS, IOS, and IOS-XR.
- - Proficiency in routing protocols including OSPF, ISIS, BGP, and multicast protocols like PIM.
- - Experience with Cisco ASA and Cisco FTD for advanced network security.
- - Strong competency in using network testing and analysis tools such as Spirent, Ixia, and WireShark.
- - Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills Description:
- - Familiarity with cloud networking solutions and hybrid environments.
