Software Engineer – Basel (Asset Management Technology)

Our client, a leading asset management company, is seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to join their innovative technology team in Basel. Focused on delivering world-class solutions for portfolio management, risk analysis, and investment automation, our client is at the forefront of leveraging cutting-edge technology to optimize financial operations. We are looking for a dynamic developer experienced in:

Angular, Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, RxJS, PostgreSQL, Redis, REST APIs, GraphQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Nginx, Jest, Cypress, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

Role Overview

As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing and building sophisticated web applications for the asset management industry. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including portfolio managers and data scientists, to create robust solutions that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency. This role is perfect for an individual passionate about combining modern technologies with financial innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using Angular for the frontend and NestJS for the backend.
• Work with databases like PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with stakeholders.
• Optimize application performance and scalability using modern DevOps practices.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews to maintain software quality.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in technology and financial services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in full stack web development, ideally within the financial or asset management industry.
• Strong proficiency with Angular, Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker).
• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress.
• Fluency in English (C1); German is advantageous.

Location: Basel, Switzerland / Remote 🌍

Salary: CHF 120,000 – CHF 160,000 + Bonus + Benefits
