About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Devops Consultant / Technical Lead join our professional services Team to focus on the technical leadership, design, construction, integration and delivery of an Operations Centre and the associated operating centre's technology solutions

This role requires someone with hands on experience designing, implementing and integrating complex solutions across Support Infrastructure and IT Network & Systems operations environments from a greenfield state.

This position is part of a greenfield program of works requiring you to technically lead a team of engineers and consult, advise on how to holistically design, setup, configure, integrate and deploy IT operational centres from scratch

Location – Brisbane, Sydney OR Melbourne

Role Type – Hybrid, 2 days in the office

Contract Duration – 6 Months + extensions

Typical Duties:

• Review low level and detailed design documents
• Consult and advise upon gaps and improvements within the designs
• Cross reference and challenge HLD, LLD and ensure the solution is fit for purpose
• Consult and advise on available IT operational toolings available that are fit for business purpose
• Act as the technical SME across the program of works for IT operational toolings
• Technically drive and steer the engineering teams away from clickops to automation
• Provide coaching and leaderships across the infrastructure tool sets
• Encourage and foster tool adoption

Key Selection Criteria

• Demonstrated experience as a Technical Lead within the IT Operational, Network operational toolings domain
• Highly experienced Devops and Automation engineering background
• Very comfortable with operating at the design review and technical SME level
• Comfortable with witviewing architectural, HLD, LLD and DLD documents
• Demonstrated experience with the design, deployment and adoption of an IT or NOC environment and its subsequent tools from a greenfield state
• Ability to drive decision making around how to design, deploy and adopt IT / Network operational tools
• Willingness to lead, guide and mentor junior engineers
• A passion for automation and ability to drive automation first where necessary
• Hands on technical capability as well as people management, team leadership experience
