The opportunity

We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our company. In this role, you will design, create, and implement various Java-based solutions for the business that will range from java microservice applications to database programming.

To be successful as a Backend developer, you should have a specialist level of understanding and skill in developing a broad range of applications and proprietary solutions. A top-notch backend developer will be comfortable working independently and be able to deliver top-quality, error-free work on time.

• Design, implement and maintain Java-based applications (Version 8 or higher) that can be high-volume and low-latency
• Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Familiar with complex event processing and event-driven architecture
• Interpret briefs to create high-quality coding that functions according to specifications.
• Ensure that written code falls in line with the project objectives.
• Solve problems with other team members in the project.
• Identify and resolve immediate and potential issues with applications.
• Draft detailed reports on the work performed and projects completed.
• Participate in group meetings to discuss projects and objectives.
• Meet deadlines on fast-paced deliverables.
• Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans and related risk assessments.
  
  

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Degree in computer sciences, coding, or a related field.
• At least 5 years' experience in Java-based programming.
• Significant coding skills in Java, with other languages being a major plus.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of current frameworks, SDKs, APIs, and libraries.
• Proficiency in Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data).
• Solid understanding of RESTful services, APIs, and web services.
• Understanding of microservice design, architectural and security patterns.
• Experience with API gateways (e.g., Spring Cloud Gateway, Zuul, NGINX, etc.).
• Strong experience in using databases such as MySQL and NoSQL databases like Elastic Search and MongoDB.
• Experience in Kafka and Elastic Search is necessary
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
• Skilled at creating database schemas that characterize and support business processes
• In-depth knowledge of code versioning tools, for instance, Git
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments
• A strong portfolio of top-class coding and builds to your name.
