Senior Compliance Reporting Engineer

Company Description

Compliance reporting team at Wise has two areas of responsibility. First area is sharing information about suspicious behaviour of customers with financial regulators. Second area is replying to information requests coming from external banking partners or law enforcement agencies. Team of software engineers on a daily basis build and maintain tools and automation systems that help compliance reporting operational teams in their daily tasks.

• Build scalable and performant data gathering pipelines.
• Build tools which automate report generation to reduce operational teams manual work.
• Use cutting edge technologies to make our operational team even more efficient.

Qualifications

About you:

• 5+ years of experience Java or other JVM based language. Experience with Spring framework and deep understanding of JDBC and database internals
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Distributed and Concurrent Systems
• A strong product mindset and passion for user experience. You prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data-
  
  

driven decisions to fix customer pain-points

• Being able to work independently on customer problems is a key to success - you take responsibility and end-to-end
  
  

ownership of your projects: drive and own them to make sure we hit the goals we want to achieve

• Close collaboration with product managers, data scientists, data analysts, engineers and other product teams is a must have
  
  

and is something to expect to happen on a daily basis.

• Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audience
• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases, query optimisation and designing schemas
• You enjoy writing testable code and believe in Test Driven Development
• You believe in and follow best coding practices, code reviews and open feedback
