iOS Engineer

As an iOS Engineer of S-mobile you will be developing the features and functionalities of S-mobile app. We work in agile teams, and you will do close co-operation with business stakeholders, designers, backend and QA engineers. Current iOS development is done with Swift, but there are also some parts written in RxSwift and SwiftUI & Combine. More than 2M users have downloaded and activated the application, which means that we pay extra attention to reliability, security and quality of the app.

We are looking for an iOS Engineer who loves to deliver high-quality mobile apps with great UX design. You have good experience with Swift and UIKit, proficient knowledge of modern Swift iOS development practices with a good understanding of software development best practices, such as writing clean/qualitative code, unit and integration testing, added with a desire to automate everything.

We hope that you have previous experience with the following technologies: Swift, RxSwift, SwiftUI & Combine and Xcode. Ideally, you have previous experience working as part of a cross-functional team. You communicate clearly and value co-operation and good team spirit. You get along well with different people. You have the ability to manage complex integrations, learn new technologies and adapt to new working models quickly.

We work in a hybrid setting. It would be great if you could work from our office Ässäkeskus (Vallila, Helsinki) at least 1 day a week.

It’s not only popular when it comes to the number of users, but also versatile and multi-functional. S-mobile is a unique combination of services for S-group's customer-owners and S-bank's banking services. With S-mobile our customer-owners can take care of their daily banking activities and in the same session take the most out of their co-op membership by checking their bonus accrual, see and store their receipts from previous purchases, and get their own targeted discounts and vouchers.

S-mobile team consists of 30+ professionals from the fields of design, coding, QA, DevOps and business making it all work together. As a team we are sharing the end-to-end product responsibility starting from misty ideas to releasing and operations. We have organized in a team-of-teams setup, where different squads have their own responsibilities, but we also work closely together between squads securing agility and transfer of knowledge.
