Job Description:
- Responsible for designing, managing, maintaining, and operating network infrastructure (WAN, LAN, VLAN, WLAN).
- Provides secondary management and maintenance, including end-user support, of other network functions.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Ensure all site documents relating to the area of responsibility are updated and relevant.
- Participate in local projects as required.
Responsibilities
- Performs pro-active tasks to ensure availability of the network infrastructure (WAN, LAN,
- VLAN, WLAN) and perform system design, management, maintenance, upgrades, and backup..
- Implements IT projects using various technologies on a variety of network platforms.
- Performs secondary management and maintenance of other network functions
- Maintains documentation and Knowledge Base Management in related topics.
- Day-to-day decision authority to effectively manage network infrastructure (WAN, LAN, WLAN).
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of IT experience in Cisco, Checkpoint, VOIP, WAN, LAN
- Excellent German and good English
- Quality System Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain the technical documentation up to date, as per the customer Quality Management
- System requirements.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
- Advanced knowledge in HP Switches and Cisco Switches.
- Advanced knowledge and skills in IT and technology.
- Ability to conduct hands-on (utilising remote hands), troubleshooting of the LAN, WiFi and network.
- Ability to judge the necessity and logic of all proposed system changes within the area of their responsibility.
- Ability to lead projects. Must have or be prepared to obtain project management skills through training provided by external vendors.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively work with all levels of management and personnel and with outside vendors Personal qualities
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new systems and technologies.
- Openness to receiving training on key areas of responsibility. Both industry and internal.
- Good communication skills with the ability to effectively work with all levels of management and customer personnel and with outside vendors
- English and German native/bilingual
