DevOps Cloud Engineer (Contract)
Limerick/remote - **Role will be mostly remote but there will be an onsite expectation during initial ramp up (2 times a week for first couple of months) and will be expected to visit site once a quarter there after*
€60-65 per hour
Initial 6 month contract

Candidates will have more roll out / implementation focuseed experience rather than admin and managing exsiting set ups.

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Cloud Engineer to join a leading global client. This contract role involves deploying and managing Kubernetes solutions on Azure, leveraging advanced DevOps tools, and collaborating with diverse global teams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure systems.

• Kubernetes Administration and Deployment: Manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments, including application deployments, networking, security, scalability, and monitoring.
• Cloud Platform Expertise: Design and implement solutions using Azure; experience with other cloud providers is a plus.
• DevOps Practices: Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as ArgoCD, Chef, Terraform, Jenkins, and Git/Bitbucket.
• Scripting and Automation: Automate tasks using scripting languages like PowerShell, Groovy, or Python to streamline processes and enhance system performance.
• Collaboration and Problem-Solving: Partner with global cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and deliver efficient solutions.
  
  

• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS): Extensive experience with AKS administration and application deployment.
• Core Kubernetes Skills: Proficiency with tools like kubectl, ingress, helm, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• DevOps Expertise: Hands-on experience with tools like ArgoCD, Chef, Terraform, Jenkins, and version control systems such as Git/Bitbucket.
• Programming Skills: Familiarity with development in Java or Go.
  
  

• Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Linux/Windows Administration: Proficiency in managing server environments.
• Remote Desktop Services: Experience with Remote Desktop Service Administration, including RemoteApp.
• API and Web Services: Knowledge of API implementation and integration.
• Manufacturing Technology: Familiarity with shop floor systems like MES, Historian, and SCADA.
