Engineering Intern

Job Summary

Your role will be as part of the Engineering Team assigned to either AIS, PEV, Plant Engeering or Utilities where you will be provided with a unique experience and insight into the BioPharma business

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•            Assist in maintaining a safety orientated Culture, cGMP compliant work environment at all time.  

•            With guidance, write, review and revise area SOPs, Training Competencies and Work Instructions as directed.

•            Support members of the AIS, PEV, Plant Engeering or Utilities teams where applicable

•            Play an active part in project teams and assisting in the delivery of the projetcs

•            Immediately notify the Area Supervisor or Team Leader of any deviation from SOPs and/or deviations in the standard production process

•            Training to be completed in a timely manner and maintained up to date.

•            To adhere fully to all safety policies, procedures and regulations

•            Ensure highest Quality & Compliance standards.

•            Capable of working with individuals and within teams

•            Perform all duties in accordance with GMP requirements, SOPs and controlled documents

•            Will be flexible to take on additional tasks and responsibilities at the discretion of the Engineering Leads

•            Will act as a role model for the Engineering function and also the wider organisation in adherence to the WuXi corporate core values and PROUD culture.

Technical Competencies

•            Ability to meet timelines and complete tasks as per the prescribed requirements

•            Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and navigate noval and new ideas

•            Good computer skills to support development and advancement

Experience

•            No previous experience required, demonstrated ability to work in teams through university/college activities

Knowledge

•            Knowledge and understanding of biopharamacuetial processes

Qualifications

•            Pursuing a third level undergraduate or post graduate qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline. For example, but not limited to:  Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Plant Engineering.
