Product Designer

The Role

We are initially seeking a talented contract designer with the possibility of becoming a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Ideal Candidate

UserActive is looking for an accomplished designer that can handle product design decisions, successful client liaison and internal project management.  A suitable candidate will have at least 3 years of product design experience and the desire to apply their expertise across a dynamic range of applications.

A suitable designer for this role will possess the following core competencies::

• Strong UI, UX and interaction design skills 
• Ability to understand and define front end information architecture
• Ability to propose robust solutions to complex user journeys 
• Engaging written UX messaging 
• Presenting data in a visually appealing and intuitive way 
• Strong visual design skills such as working with colour palettes, typography, layout and brand identity
• Handling technical understanding of design implementation I.e. Suitable browser fonts, design systems, component libraries and front-end considerations
• Articulating design decisions in english to non-designer stakeholders and C-level executives
• Estimating tasks in terms of time and complexity

You will be working on a variety of client software including CRMs, Portals, and B2B SaaS across a wide range of industries (I.e. Greentech, Fintech, PropTech, LegalTech, and more). You'll use your current industry knowledge to make informed design decisions and be a proactive learner from those industries which you still don't have experience in.

Requirements

A successful UX/UI designer would be responsible for delivering the following results in this role:

• Advanced skills with Figma such as autolayout, components and libraries, as well as working with design systems and maintaining an organised Figma file.
• Resolving usability problems and improving user interfaces both aesthetically and experientially.
• Delivering practical designs that developers can build. 
• Establishing and maintaining strong ongoing relationships with customers and their internal teams.
• Actively listening to the client's needs and taking the ownership to translate those into suitable design solutions
• Increasing client satisfaction with well argued design presentations, proposals and assessments.
