Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain high-quality Android applications using Java and Kotlin, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
  • Implement and optimize architectural patterns like MVVM, MVP, or MVC for scalable, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Apply multithreading and async programming techniques to optimize apps for low-latency, real-time performance.
  • Integrate Firebase services like Cloud Messaging, Analytics, and Crashlytics for app monitoring, performance improvement, and a better user experience.
  • Ensure smooth collaboration with cross-functional teams (designers, product managers, backend engineers) for seamless user experiences.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining a portfolio of published applications on the Google Play Store.
  • Stay updated with the latest Android SDKs, libraries, and best practices in mobile development.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers.
  • Contribute to the improvement of development processes and tools.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Android development using Java and/or Kotlin.
  • Strong understanding of Android SDK, Java/Kotlin, and Android Studio.
  • Experience with common Android libraries and frameworks (Retrofit, RxJava, Dagger, Room).
  • Experience with UI/UX design principles and best practices for Android.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Firebase services (Authentication, Realtime Database, Storage).
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).
  • Experience with performance optimization and memory management techniques.
  • Experience with Kotlin Coroutines
