About This Team

The EMEA Technology team is the local support team for the Region, covering Retail, Corporate and DC locations. Working closely with global partners, we manage and help develop technologies for the benefit of our educators, guests and business partners.

Through alignment and collaboration with Global Technology, we build strong foundations and resolve regional challenges, ensuring that EMEA’s strategic goals are always in focus.

A Day In The Life

As a member of the EMEA Technology team, you are empathetic, solution oriented and someone who values teamwork.

The Project Manager works closely with EMEA Technology Manager, business stakeholders and required technology teams to plan and develop the project scope. Projects will be initiated within the EMEA market or a project management partnership with global technology teams to deliver or upgrade their products in the EMEA market.

You will be organised, curious and a strong facilitator. You will be able to understand the importance of communication and partner enrollment to succeeding in your role. Managing risks and dependencies daily will be key to ensuring projects are correctly reported on and delivered with maximum value against the agreed timelines. Utilising various methodologies, frameworks and a Agile mindset will optimize project delivery.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage the delivery of retail and corporate projects (including workstreams of global technology programs), from planning to deployment, that have a start and end date with clear goals and objectives
  • Ensure the scope and objectives of a project are understood, documented, measurable, assigned and tracked
  • Actively manage scope, schedule, budget (actuals & forecast) and risk to ensure projects are delivered successfully on time and on budget
  • Provide project updates via status, health, risk reports and contribute to cyclical team reporting.
  • Develop relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple time zones (NA, EMEA, APAC), including cross-functional teams, to ensure solutions meet business objectives, global standards and schedule
  • Leverage Project Management methodologies and Agile mindset to support the overall delivery from planning through to project closure
  • Engage in and communicate ideas for supporting the continuous improvement process with a positive and constructive attitude and supports with developing this attitude in others.
  • Apply logical discretion on when to involve senior team members and leaders when navigating difficult stakeholder issues
  • Establish future projects with Technology partners to provide influence on the Annual Operating Plan in collaboration with the Programme Manager.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably working in Technology within Retail
  • Proven track record of delivering multiple projects of various sizes and technologies
  • Managed budget of 1-2 projects, inter-functional dependencies, single region impact, <= £1m capex estimated for the total initiative
  • PRINCE2 or other similar certification would be a benefit
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, multi-program environment with changing priorities  
  • Good leadership skills, including the ability to influence and gain consensus in the absence of direct authority
  • Accomplished team player with experience of guiding others
  • Experience working in a global team with multiple hubs is a plus
