Computer Vision Engineer

My Client within the industrial automation sector, focusing on 3D computer vision for industrial applications are in search of an experienced computer vision engineer to join their team. The key responsibilities and requirements are listed below!

Key Responsibilities:

• 3D Vision System Development: Design, implement, and optimize algorithms for processing and analyzing 3D data, such as point clouds, depth maps, and stereo images, using techniques like 3D reconstruction, object detection, and 3D tracking.
• Integration with Hardware: Work closely with hardware engineers to integrate 3D vision systems with sensors, such as LiDAR, stereo cameras, and structured light systems, ensuring accurate data acquisition and processing in real-world environments.
• Advanced Model Development: Develop machine learning and deep learning models to improve the performance of 3D object recognition, segmentation, and localization in dynamic environments.
• Real-time Processing: Implement real-time 3D vision systems for applications such as autonomous navigation, robotics, and augmented reality, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency in live settings.
• Data Management: Collect and process large datasets of 3D point clouds, depth data, and images. Prepare data for training machine learning models and evaluating system performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
• Solid experience with 3D computer vision libraries and tools (e.g., Open3D, PCL, ROS, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
• Experience with machine learning or deep learning models applied to 3D vision tasks (e.g., object detection, segmentation, and localization).
• Familiarity with point cloud processing, surface reconstruction, and 3D modeling.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience overcoming challenges in 3D data processing and algorithm development.
