Our client helps business reach their sustainability goals. They are a provider of energy and environmental solutions. They have trading systems related to energy to speed up the energy transition, focused on sustainable ways of doing this.

The organization has a centralized data team responsible for the data services across various departments, including the complex trading data services. We are currently seeking to hire senior engineers for this team, which is accountable for the end-to-end data solutions within the company. This includes engaging with business units to provide dashboards, insights, and requirements analysis. The data can differ from department and your own input/ideas are valued.

The data team is end-to-end. This includes developing data solutions to delivering them to data warehouses and dashboards. They also build and maintain the infrastructure foundational to the data platforms and lakes. The team manages and operates its environment and pipelines while creating new solutions, dashboards, and insights. They are currently in a migration towards a modern Azure-based data landscape.

We are looking to add a senior engineer to this team, preferably someone with a robust understanding of both the business and product aspects. The ideal candidate has a product mindset for data, has strong stakeholder management skills, and knows how to translate business challenges and requests into data solutions. Experience in the trading or energy sectors, and familiarity with a product mindset for data, are nice to have.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience with Azure and data tooling or equivalent.
• Experience working on end-to-end data solutions and stakeholder management.
• Experience with Python and translating data insights into solutions for the business.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric is nice to have.
• Experience in fintech/trading is nice to have.
