Metropolia University of Applied Sciences is seeking a motivated Placement Coordinator for a permanent position to strengthen our teams in the fields of automotive and mechanical engineering, as well as smart solutions. The role primarily focuses on supporting our international degree programs. Key responsibilities:

• Finding work placement opportunities: Assist students in securing placements that align with their skills and career goals.
• Supervising and evaluating placements: Support students, monitor their progress, and assess their learning outcomes. Maintain active communication with industry partners.
• Networking and development: Expand and maintain industry networks while identifying new collaboration opportunities in relevant fields of expertise.
• Employer visits and events: Organize company visits, promote industry connections, and participate in events to support students in finding placements.
• Managing job postings: Coordinate and share information on available placement positions, ensuring visibility for students.

• Established networks in relevant industries to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
• A strong engineering background and a passion for developing the skills of engineering students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to create a positive and trusting environment for both students and industry partners.
• An outgoing and collaborative attitude.

• Proficiency in English and Finnish to ensure effective communication in a multicultural environment.
• A teaching qualification is considered an asset, but we provide opportunities to acquire it alongside the role.
