Senior Python Software Engineer (Contract Position)

Contract Duration: 6 months (ASAP start)

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Python Software Engineer in the Observability team will:

• Deploy Python ETL code in accordance with agreed quality standards.
• Apply CLEAN Code principles to ensure code maintainability and clarity.
• Develop and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into efficient Python code.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering with Python.
• Strong DevOps experience, including Git, CI/CD, and AWS.
• Hands-on experience working with Kubernetes platforms such as OpenShift or EKS.
• Proven experience in building APIs using Python frameworks like FastAPI or Django REST.

Preferred Skills:

Candidates with the following additional skills will be highly considered:

Hands-on engineering experience in the Observability domain, particularly with:

• Metrics (Prometheus)
• Logging (Elasticsearch)

Strong background in Data Engineering.
