The European Public Prosecutor’s Office, the independent public prosecution office of the European Union, is seeking applications for the position of Policy and Operations Officer.
The Registry and Operational Stakeholders Sector (ROSS) is responsible for processing all information reported to the EPPO pursuant to article 24 of the Regulation and managing stakeholders at operational level in order to enable the EPPO to cooperate with Competent National Authorities (CNAs), Private Parties (PPs), Institutions-Bodies-Organizations-Agencies (IBOAs) of the Union, Non-Participating Member States (NPMSs), Third Countries (TCs) and International Organizations (IOs).
Tasks and responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Registry and Operational Stakeholders Sector, your tasks will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Contributing to the legal assessment of crime reports and processing such reports in EPPO’s case management system, as well as informing the reporting parties on the outcome of this assessment.
- Supporting the European Prosecutors and European Delegated Prosecutors in verifying the information reported to the EPPO.
- Drafting legal and operational analysis, briefs, reports and correspondence on legal and operational issues related to suspected offences falling under the competence of the EPPO.
- Coordinating the cooperation between the EPPO’s central and decentralized offices, as well as with operational stakeholders, such as IBOAs and competent national authorities.
- Performing processing and administrative tasks related to EPPO’s case management system and contributing to its development.
- Participating in and delivering trainings.
- Performing any other tasks in the interest of the service
