What is the purpose of this role in delivery of our mission?
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you are comfortable with Amazon Web Services (AWS), microservice architecture and ideally with previous Software as a Service (“SaaS”) experience. You will be responsible for a full software development cycle: Design => Develop => Test => Deploy => Operate => Support. We have dedicated DevOps and QA, but we are looking for someone that has a strong experience of understanding the full cycle and who can deliver end to end. Have good exposure to TDD and DevOps.

What is the purpose of this role in delivery of our mission?

What are the key responsibilities / activities of the role:
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code Understand business requirements.
- Translate the business requirement into technical requirements.
- Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable and reliable code Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Develop new user-facing features as well as APIs.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
- JavaScript experience (Preferably Nodejs), HTML5, CSS3, front-end frameworks (React, Angular), NoSQL (Preferable MongoDB and DynamoDB), RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle), RESTFUL API Development, Git.
- Develop user friendly features as well as APIs
- Degree level education in Computer Science, Network Technologies or similar field.
- Previous Backend Engineer experience, ideally within the FinTech/blockchain sector
- Strong experience in Software Engineering
- Experienced in TypeScript, JavaScript ES6+
- Server-side development experience e.g. Node.js.
- Experience in designing, building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL (Preferably MongoDB and DynamoDB).
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix administration.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud platform (Preferably Lambda, EC2, EB, IAM, SQS, SNS, CI & CD, API Gateway, Route 53, CloudFormation, S3, EventBridge, EventBus).
- Excellent understanding of microservice architecture, serverless.
- Version control best practices using Git.
- Experience working in an Agile delivery team.
