Junior Software Engineer

At Tata Technologies we make product development dreams a reality by designing, engineering and validating the products of tomorrow for the world’s leading manufacturers. Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Junior Software Engineer, to strengthen our team in Gothenburg.

Responsibilities

• Close collaboration with hardware operators and stakeholders of other applications.

• Install and configure services that are communication layer between hardware and upper systems.

• Support testing manufacturing stations, configure device connection, verify integration between various applications

• Verify proper network configuration and fix minor network issues.

• Develop minor code changes to adjust application behaviors based on output of test scenarios or fix minor bugs. (in Java language)

• Use JavaScript to adjust simulation environment to test scenarios.

Additional Responsibilities (depending on workload on main responsibilities):

• Configuring pipelines to deploy new versions of applications

• Preparing monitoring solutions according to business and technical requirements.

• Developing new features with other colleagues from the team – mainly in Java.

• Taking part in analyzing new requirements and adjustments to ones already existing.

Knowledge/Experience

• You are proactive and able to collaborate effectively with colleagues from the team and beyond.

• You have experience with software development in Java.

• You are familiar with REST APIs, databases, cloud services, and messaging systems such as IBM MQ and Kafka.

• You have experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift

• You possess excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills in English, enabling you to effectively communicate with both technical specialists and individuals without technical knowledge.

It will be beneficial if you also have:

• Knowledge of the manufacturing industry

• Experience with Windows Service Applications

• Experience as IT Support

• Experience as Service Technican

• Experience as Software Engineer

• Knowledge of IBM MQ and Kafka
