Data Center Coordinator

Job Description: Data Centre Coordinator [Pref. Early joiner]

• Skilled in planning, proposing and managing complex facilities projects, including resource management, scope management, budgeting and schedules.
• Assist in identifying and developing facilities requirements for vendor tenders for Data Rooms and office building moves, adds and changes.
• Assist in providing specification information for supporting IT environments such as workstation cable layout, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), UPS power, racks and physical room layout.
• Assist in capacity analysis and requirements for floor space based on IT equipment specifications and building facilities requirements.
• Work with vendors and contractors to provide documentation in support of cable and equipment installations and RFPs.
• Document IT infrastructure requirements with the goal to identifying possible standards for power, cabling, cooling and room design.
• Assist in evaluating and recommending types of hardware to be supported as "standard components" that will be utilized in support of Data Room/server room builds.
• Demonstrated experience working on complex IT facilities projects.
• Skilled at facilities projects, including resource management and schedules.
• Working knowledge of computer room air conditioning, mechanical and electrical systems (M&E).
• Working knowledge of infrastructure cabling projects for data center and office environments in support of LAN based services utilizing structured cabling (horizontal and vertical) solutions.
• Experience in providing guidance and coordinating the efforts of staff members in the development, design and implementation of data center/server room build outs.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem resolution skills.
• Detailed understanding of architecture design and practices (buildings).
• Minimum requirement -CDCDP or CDCP certification - preferred.
• Travel may be required to visit site locations under construction, to evaluate complexity of the project or meet with vendors and contractors supporting the project.
• Weekend or late night work may occur during the actual movement of staff and IT technology for projects.
• Flexible work hours to participate in virtual global conference calls in support of projects work.
• Fluent in English
• At least 5+ years working experience in data center design, build outs and office space (technology) design / build outs and relocation of IT infrastructure systems.
• Working knowledge of communication systems, servers and storage devices.
• Working knowledge of computer room air conditioning and UPS power systems requirements
• Experience with space and capacity management of Data Room
