This role is for a highly skilled BI Analyst with Cognos Analytics expertise who will play a key role in our data-driven decision-making. You'll be responsible for the entire data journey, from building data pipelines and data models to creating insightful reports and dashboards using Cognos, with a focus on financial data and operational metrics.
What you will be doing
- Design and develop robust SQL queries to extract and transform data for reporting and visualization.
- Create sophisticated reports and dashboards in Cognos Analytics, ensuring clarity and alignment with client objectives.
- Build and maintain data architecture, ensuring optimal performance of queries, pipelines, and automation workflows.
- Analyze data quality and identify discrepancies between available data and reporting needs, providing actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Develop and implement data transformation processes (ETL) using tools like Databricks or Alteryx.
- Leverage cloud-based data solutions like AWS, Snowflake, Azure, or Google Cloud to support scalable and efficient data management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and execute data strategies, with a focus on financial metrics and operational analytics.
What we are looking for
- Experience with Cognos Analytics including report building, dashboard design, and optimization for performance.
- Finance experience is a plus, including familiarity with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries and optimize performance.
- Proven experience developing and implementing ETL pipelines using tools like Databricks and/or Alteryx.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions such as AWS, Snowflake, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) to automate data processes is a plus.
- Experience with relational database systems (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL).

Job specifications
- Employment type: full-time employment with Concord.
- Work arrangement: hybrid-flex (1-2 days on-site, but flexible). Open to remote candidates based outside of KC.
- Office location: Parkville, MO.
