Senior Golang Developer

About the Role

We are looking for experienced engineers to join an exciting flagship project with a leading financial institution. This project focuses on driving a large-scale transformation towards cloud-native, service-oriented architectures. You’ll work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with teams across the organisation to shape cutting-edge solutions.

As a senior Go engineer, you’ll develop and roll out core libraries, modules, and platforms that are scalable, secure by design, and built with modern, cloud-native principles. Your work will empower internal technologists by delivering deployable blueprints and technology solutions that adhere to industry-leading standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop global-scale backend systems and full-stack blueprints for repeatable, secure patterns.
• Engineer application stacks, focusing on CI/CD pipelines, APIs, and communication layers across hybrid architectures spanning public clouds and private data centres
• Champion the adoption of technology strategies across business lines
• Collaborate on building microservices or distributed systems in Golang.

Ideal Experience:

• Strong experience with Golang, Kubernetes, TDD, Kafka, MongoDB, Helm and Containerisation.
• Extensive cloud experience.
• A proven ability to design secure, scalable solutions at an enterprise level.
• Strong communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
