About the Role 💼

As a Network and Security Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable, secure, and scalable network systems. Your expertise in virtualization platforms and load balancers will be key to optimizing performance and ensuring high availability across our infrastructure.

Role

Network Design and Implementation

• Design, deploy, and manage advanced LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
• Ensure optimal network performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Leverage diagnostic tools for proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.

Security Management

• Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.
• Implement firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other advanced security measures.
• Conduct regular security audits and mitigate vulnerabilities.

Virtualization

• Manage and optimize virtualized environments using platforms like VMware and Proxmox.
• Ensure efficient resource utilization and high availability.

Load Balancing

• Configure and maintain load balancers (e.g., HAProxy) for traffic optimization.
• Monitor performance and implement improvements as needed.

Troubleshooting & Support

• Provide swift resolution to network, security, and virtualization issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring problems.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain detailed records of configurations, policies, and incident reports.
• Prepare regular performance and security compliance reports.

Collaboration & Mentorship

• Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Profile 👀

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network and security engineering.
• Proven expertise in network design, security technologies, and virtualization.
• Solid experience with load balancers, especially HAProxy.

Technical Skills

• Strong grasp of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
• Advanced knowledge of security tools and practices.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, Zabbix).
• Scripting abilities (Python, PowerShell) are a plus.
• Familiarity with Linux/Windows environments is an asset.

Certifications

• Certifications like CCNA, CISSP, CEH, VCP, or CompTIA Security+ are a strong advantage.
