Barden are delighted to partner with a Global Professional Services firm in their search for a Network Security Engineer to join them in this daily rate contract position.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Oversee firewalls, web proxies, and load balancers, ensuring expert handling of Palo Alto and Checkpoint technologies.
• Manage incident and change requests, addressing issues promptly, and handling security incidents through SIEM tickets.
• Maintain and upgrade IT security hardware and software supporting on-prem and cloud-based IT and OT firewalls.
• Keep security documentation updated, engage in IPS review, and participate in security incident response, working within a skilled Infrastructure and Service team.
• Provide technical advice within the IT Infrastructure domain, collaborating with external service providers, and staying informed on networking and firewalling developments.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

• Advanced proficiency in managing and supporting Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls, including administration and upgrading.
• Have exposure to Azure and other cloud services, showcasing adaptability to diverse IT environments.
• Showcase excellent TCP/IP and network traffic knowledge, contributing to robust security engineering practices.
• Display relevant IT and Security certifications, underlining a commitment to ongoing professional development.
