Senior Java Software Engineer

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with expertise in AWS to join our banking client's team. As a Senior Java Developer, you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable, efficient, and reliable software applications. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, develop solutions, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications on AWS
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize project requirements
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for applications and systems
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and adhere to coding standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, escalating as necessary
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in Java and AWS.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in Java development, with a focus on AWS
• Strong proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and related frameworks
• Experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and API Gateway
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in distributed teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
