Machine Learning Engineer (Image Gen)

We are hiring Machine Learning Engineer for a technology client on a yearly renewable contract role. The team is building cutting-edge tools and infrastructure to drive innovation and automation throughout the organisation. In this role you will contribute to the creation of the platform for processing and generating images using GenAI. You will help drive the set-up of the infrastructure for image processing and generating, focusing on scalability and extensibility for platform users.

What you’ll do :

• Develop an image generation platform: You will be responsible for setting up a configurable and scalable image generation platform.
• This will need to have the functionality of tools like Comfy UI, but be scalable to allow for parallel generation and fine-tuning of new models.
• Support the data science community in adoption of the new tool: You will need to be involved in documenting and helping users onboard to the new platform.
• Work with the rest of the ML Platform team to deploy and integrate this solution into the ML Platform.

What you’ll need:

• An understanding of, and ideally experience with, image generation models such as stable diffusion and flux. Bonus if you know comfyUI
• Good knowledge of Python and ML ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of developing and deploying systems on Kubernetes.
• Previous experience with GitOps solutions like ArgoCD is preferred. Good knowledge of Helm and Kustomise is also valued.
• Good DevOps background, with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as code with Terraform preferred
• At least 3 years of relevant Machine Engineering experience
