Job Description

The developer is a key role on a collaborative and agile project team and is responsible for the design and production of our world-class business systems. These systems satisfy customer and organizational business requirements and enable Expeditors to set the standard for excellence in global logistics. The developer understands business problems and opportunities, while applying technical skills to the design, development, and testing of applications and systems.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
At least2-4 years of professional software development experience
Object-oriented programming, analysis, and design.
Component-based development with Java 8, Spring, Spring Boot
Experience with SQL and relational database design/development
Experience with HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular
Understanding of Agile software development methodologies
Experience writing unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end.
Operating systems include UNIX, Linux, Windows

Responsibilities

Ability to understand, code and write unit tests to ensure the delivery of the project.
Collaborate with the Agile team and work as a team for the timely project delivery.

GOOD TO HAVE

Experience in Microservices architecture
Experience with Maven, Junit, Hibernate/JPA, and IntelliJ IDE
Experience with TypeScript, RxJS, and Jasmine Testing
Experience with Event Driven Architecture, Domain Driven Design, CQRS
Experience with Distributed Systems, REST API design, and Apache Kafka
