Software engineer

Alpha Networks, one of the leading providers in hybrid TV back-ends & smart video platforms, is looking ofr new software engineers to join the R&D Tucano Squad.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality features in line with our product roadmap. 

Responsibilities

• You take part in the design of Tucano software with the product team during every scrum-meeting.
• You create solutions to meet business requirements using new or existing technologies in collaboration with your squad, made of frontend & backend developers.
• You write software documentation as well as tests and fight for constant product quality both in terms of user experience and technical implementation.
• You get the most out of our technological stack to increase software availability, resource efficiency and make sure our platforms can support any peak load.
• Collaborate with other teams such as support, devOps, infrastructure and project managers to ensure the good quality and evolution of the software.
• You review of the work produced by your colleagues to ensure a high software quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, Master or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
• You are motivated to join a young & dynamic team of techno-enthusiasts.
• Comfortable with JAVA. More specifically with Spring Boot.
• Knowledge in SQL databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Familiar with GraphQL, gRPC and other microservice technologies.
• Basic experience with SCM such as Git or SVN (Gitlab & Gitlab-CI).
• Acquainted with Docker & Kubernetes.
• Not afraid of using ubuntu
• Experience with reactive frameworks such as Webflux/Reactor is a plus.
• You have a good sense of humour (mandatory).
• You’re fluent in French and can sustain a basic technical conversation in English.
