DevOps Engineer

For one of our clients based in Brussels, we are currently looking for a junior DevOps Engineer to join their team.

Role Description

As part of the ICT Corporate Infrastructure team, you will contribute to the development of the software infrastructure (CI/CD, Kubernetes, etc.) and its alignment with the physical infrastructure (servers, networks, etc.).

Specifically, your responsibilities will include:

Kubernetes:

• Configuring the Dashboard, API Gateway, Load Balancer, and access authorizations for the cluster.
• Optimizing ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Storage (PV, PVC).
• Defining and implementing DNS and TLS certificate management strategies.
• Setting up an internal registry to store container images.
• Establishing monitoring and scalability testing for Kubernetes clusters.

CI/CD:

• Setting up a new platform for source code management (e.g., Jira).
• Implementing an automated deployment tool (e.g., Jenkins).

Other Responsibilities:

• Establishing a project management platform that integrates with continuous integration and automated deployment tools (e.g., Jira).
• Creating a documentation platform (e.g., Confluence).

Qualifications

• You hold a master’s degree in computer science or at least a bachelor’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a similar role is a significant asset.
• You have a solid understanding of DevOps concepts and agile principles.
• You have hands-on experience in setting up and deeply configuring native Kubernetes clusters, including monitoring implementation.
• You are proficient in external storage systems and their integration with Kubernetes clusters.
• You have strong knowledge of DNS and TLS certificate management, particularly in multi-site production environments (multiple clusters).
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or Jenkins is highly valued.
• Familiarity with collaborative tools and documentation platforms such as Confluence is an advantage.
• You have worked on projects requiring high availability and robustness.
• You possess strong stress and frustration management skills and can make sound decisions while maintaining emotional control.
• You are fluent in French or Dutch, plus English
