Software Engineer Trainee

From technical and engineering to software development ABLOY provides a diverse opportunity for those with skill, determination and drive to add trust into society - creating a more secure and safer future . We are looking for Software Engineer Trainees to take responsibility of building the backend for ABLOY Cumulus, our cloud platform for keyless access solutions. The team is in Joensuu and as a trainee, it would be preferable if you could visit the office often.

• Learning and experimentation is integral part of our job. Failure is not only accepted but expected on our road to success.
• We have high emphasis on team work. All production code is written with pair or mob programming.
• Quality is of utmost importance for us. We practice test driven development and we are not afraid of refactoring.
• We automate everything that can be automated, so that we can focus on the interesting things.

What we are looking for:

• Willingness to participate in our above described working culture.
• True team-working attitude with growth mindset.
• Some experience with Java or Kotlin.
• Experience with test automations and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms is a plus.
• Experience with native Android or iOS development is a plus.
• Experience with Python is a plus.
• Fluency in English.
