Senior Agile Coach (Lead Role)


Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Agile Coach to drive Agile transformation, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and guide teams in adopting Agile principles. This role involves hands-on coaching, training, and collaboration across teams to enhance Agile maturity and optimise project delivery. This would be 12 month day rate contract role.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as a change agent, driving Agile adoption and continuous learning across teams.
  • Work directly with teams to promote Agile mindsets and lean product delivery practices.
  • Provide methodology leadership, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and best practices.
  • Conduct Azure DevOps reviews to ensure compliance with Agile standards, backlog management, and iteration alignment.
  • Identify and mitigate risks or inefficiencies in Agile workflows.
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters to support Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Scrum of Scrums, and Retrospectives.
  • Advise on Agile best practices, conducting training sessions and workshops as needed.
  • Engage with stakeholders to continuously improve Agile processes and team collaboration.
  • Support the resolution of cross-functional challenges to enhance delivery efficiency.


Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience as an Agile Coach, preferably in a consulting or enterprise environment.
  • Strong track record of successfully leading Agile transformations and coaching teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Expertise in Agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure DevOps for Agile project management.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to optimise Agile processes.


Desirable Skills:

  • Agile certifications such as SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Agile Coach Certification.
  • Experience in DevOps practices and Agile delivery tools.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to drive Agile initiatives in complex multi-system program implementations.


Educational Requirements:

  • A third-level degree in IT, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.


Contract Type:

  • 12 month day rate contract
  • Hybrid work model
