The role

Network Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality Level 3 technical support to Retail Stores, Support Centres, and Warehouses. He or she works largely within their home time zone as part of Lovisa’s global Network team to support IT services across the organisation. However, due to the nature of the role, coordination of various activities will require close collaboration with teams in different time zones, especially for network changes and deployments.

Network Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring Lovisa Stores, Support Centres, and Distribution Centres receive a high standard of network and IT infrastructure support.
  • Delivering prompt Level 3 network support services to IT systems supporting Stores, Support Centres, and Warehouses.
  • Maintaining the integrity, stability, and operation of all network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and VPN connections.
  • Identifying and managing network security concerns, implementing firewalls, access controls, and security policies.
  • Acting as an escalation point for Level 1 and Level 2 teams to provide technical expertise.
  • Working closely with other Level 3 teams to provide effective support for network-related matters.
  • Liaising with suppliers and service providers to ensure priority service for Requests, Incidents, and Problems.
  • Contributing towards the continuous improvement of all IT network services.
  • Participating in a rotating after-hours support roster.
  • Occasionally working outside normal business hours to support network maintenance, upgrades, and deployments.


About you

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong technical expertise in network administration, security, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in configuring and managing network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, load balancers).
  • Expertise in network protocols, routing (BGP, OSPF), and switching (VLANs, STP, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud networking solutions, including AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
