Country Product Manager - Marketplace (APAC Region)

About The Team

The Country Apps & Platforms Product Management team acts as a bridge between the regional product management office and the local teams. The team aims to identify gaps and understand the needs in the local markets which are subsequently bridged by enhancing existing features or coming up with new features that can be localised to the individual market needs. These features include notifications, orders, promotions, payments and many others. These localisation initiatives are pivotal to Shopee’s growth in our markets.

Job Description

• Engage local business stakeholders and functional leaders in the regional office to implement long-term and sustainable product solutions that best suit the local market
• Identify and gather users’ requirements from local business stakeholders
• Analyse, align and evaluate business requirements, feasibility and value of the feature requests to deliver localised Business Requirement Document (BRD)
• Work closely with cross-functional product management teams to implement product features and to ensure the successful delivery of these features to respective markets
• Drive and manage key projects aimed at improving marketplace feature development efficiency and feature quality
• Prioritise and resolve any issues that are escalated in a timely manner and promptly communicate the progress for critical live issues
• Execute day-to-day product operations to ensure business continuity
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any field, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, Technology or equivalent
• Experience in e-Commerce or product management will be advantageous
• Logical and possesses excellent problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal skills and comfortable to engage stakeholders from different levels
• Experience in one of our local markets will be highly preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members
