Back-End Engineer


Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Back-End Engineer to develop and optimize real-time audio processing solutions for PlayStation. This role focuses on building and maintaining REST APIs and orchestrators, ensuring high accuracy and low-latency performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend services for real-time audio processing, including party chat, text-to-speech, and multilingual transcription.
  • Optimize system accuracy, performance, and latency.
  • Participate in weekly on-call rotations, monitoring with Grafana and Splunk.
  • Contribute to voice command features using NLU/NLP.

Tech Stack & Requirements:

  • Languages: Golang (1+ year preferred), Java (7-8 years), C++ (nice to have).
  • Protocols & Tools: Redsocket, gRPC, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Cloud: AWS preferred (GCP acceptable).
  • Storage: Experience with Aerospike is a plus.
  • Experience: 5-8 years, ideally with audio processing or ML exposure.

This role is a long term contract paying 50-65/hr and hybrid in San Francisco.
