Senior Full Stack Developer – Global Multi Billion Hedge Fund – New York – $400k TC

We are seeking a highly skilled, senior full stack engineer to join a market-leading multi-billion dollar hedge fund.

The right engineer will be reporting directly to the Head of Development, building front-to-back solutions leveraging the firm’s data platforms, infrastructure, UI Frameworks and DevOps toolchain. Main responsibilities include building and supporting infrastructure, processes, applications, and reports for the Risk Management team, as well as developing a unified and scalable platform in collaboration with the broader tech team. Along with this you should be able to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Proficiency in one or more statically-typed programming languages (e.g., C#, C++, Java) as well as one or more dynamically-typed languages (e.g., Python, R). Python is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of memory management, data structures implementation, and concurrency expertise.
• Experience leveraging both traditional relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and special-purpose database technologies (e.g., Snowflake, MongoDB, Redis).
• Ability to comfortably communicate with Risk Managers-understanding of portfolio construction, risk factors, beta analysis, VaR, and attribution.
