SR. SYSTEM ENGINEER (DEVELOPMENT) - DATA SCIENTIST / DATA ANALYST (POWER BI) - JD

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Certifications in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields are a plus.

Skills:

Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
Ability to translate complex data into visually engaging and easy-to-understand formats.
Excellent communication and presentation skills – you can break down technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other programming languages for data cleaning, scripting, and automation.
Expertise in Power BI for data visualization, report development, and dashboard design.
Solid knowledge of data modeling concepts (e.g., dimensional modeling, star schema, snowflake schema) and database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).

Experience:

At least 8 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role.
Proven experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehouse development.
A track record of building user-friendly and impactful dashboards in Power BI.

Primary Responsibilities:

Design and implement data models for efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to automate data ingestion and preparation.
Build and manage data warehouses for centralized data storage and analysis.
Use Python, Jupyter Notebook, and Power BI to analyze data, identify trends, and develop predictive models.
Create visually stunning reports and dashboards that communicate insights effectively to business users.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights.
Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in data science.

Power BI Dashboard Development:

Design user-friendly and visually appealing dashboards using Power BI.
Apply best practices in dashboard design, including clear hierarchy, consistent formatting, and intuitive navigation.
Choose the most impactful visualizations based on data types and user needs.
Add interactive features like slicers, filters, and drill-throughs for enhanced user exploration.
Ensure dashboards are optimized for all devices (desktop, mobile).
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
Conduct requirements gathering sessions and incorporate user feedback.
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights aligned with business goals.
Prototype and iterate on dashboards to create user-centric solutions.
