Role Overview:

KPMG India’s Digital Platforms Practice is looking for a Python & Power BI Automation

Expert to design, develop, and implement data automation, processing, and visualization

solutions. The candidate will be responsible for automating data extraction, transformation,

and reporting workflows using Python, Excel, and Power BI while ensuring seamless data

integration and visualization.

Key Responsibilities:

Excel Automation & Data Processing:

- Automate data extraction, cleaning, and transformation using Python (pandas, openpyxl,

xlrd).

- Develop and maintain Python scripts to process and merge large Excel files.

- Optimize data workflows for efficiency and scalability.

Power BI Integration & Dashboard Development:

- Prepare Python-processed Excel datasets as a backend for Power BI dashboards.

- Design and develop interactive reports & dashboards in Power BI.

- Implement DAX calculations, Power Query transformations, and data modeling.

Data Automation & Scheduling:

- Automate data refresh pipelines using Python & Power BI.

- Schedule scripts using Windows Task Scheduler, Airflow, or Cron Jobs.

- Optimize data performance & ensure accuracy in automated reporting.

Data Engineering & Visualization

- Work with structured & unstructured data from multiple sources.

- Integrate Python scripts directly within Power BI’s Python script data source.

- Develop custom Power BI visuals and implement AI/ML models for predictive analytics.

Collaboration & Best Practices

- Work closely with data analysts, business teams, and cloud engineers.

- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance in Power BI & Excel automation.

- Document processes, create user guides, and train stakeholders on automation solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Python (pandas, openpyxl, xlrd, NumPy) – Data automation & processing.

• Excel Automation – Reading/writing, VBA integration, and scheduling.

• Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Data Modeling, Python Integration) – Dashboard creation

& automation.

• SQL & Databases – Writing queries, data extraction, and transformation.

• Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP – optional) – Working with cloud-based data

pipelines.

• Version Control (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket) – Code versioning and collaboration.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.

• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical

solutions.

• Excellent communication & stakeholder management.

• Experience in working with Agile teams.

Preferred Qualifications

▪ Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or a related field.

▪ Certifications in Power BI, Python for Data Science, or Cloud Platforms are a plus.
