Overview:

A next-generation and R&D led Space-Tech firm have opened up an opportunity for a mid-level Software Engineer with C++ expertise to join a well-funded and established technical team.

This is a fantastic chance for a mid-level developer to accelerate their career by working on bleeding-edge tech in a greenfield environment. With a growing number of exciting contracts, you will be developing systems and components for major mainstream space projects.

The role:

• Design and develop greenfield mission-critical systems in C++, as well as applications in Python
• Champion modern software technologies to streamline development
• Work with different teams to build large-scale on-board systems from the ground up

About you:

• C/C++ development for systems on Linux (essential)
• Commercial use of Python (essential)
• Very comfortable in a Linux environment (essential)
• 1-5 years' commercial development experience (essential)
• Knowledge of Python libraries (desirable)
• Development of high availability systems (desirable)
• Linux kernel and device driver knowledge (desirable)
• Must already live in the UK or be a British Citizen
• Relevant degree
