Full Stack Engineer, OPS Real Time

Optibus is looking for an exceptional Full Stack Engineer to join our Real Time R&D team in the challenge of moving the world smarter and more efficiently. We are looking for a strong software developer who loves working in a team and appreciates the complexities of developing enterprise grade software in an agile mindset.

You will be a core member of the Real Time team, working with a cutting edge serverless tech stack on Optibus Operations, a new and modern public transportation control center software. Our clients use the product you will work on to manage thousands of buses and drivers in real time to avoid delays and optimize their public transport service.

You will build intuitive and user-friendly client-side applications using React, build a backend powered with serverless technologies, and contribute to a well-organized and easily extensible codebase written entirely in TypeScript (see full stack).

We collaborate in a generally remote work mode. Members of our team work from Tel Aviv, Berlin, Glasgow, and Valencia. Seeing there are some colleagues onsite in Berlin though, you would work from our Berlin office roughly once per week, but are otherwise free to work remotely or from our office as you choose.

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with the team lead, product manager and UX/UI designer in a cross-functional team currently consisting of 4 developers and a QA engineer, as well as closely collaborating with other teams in the R&D department across the organization.
• Take part in all aspects of the development cycle
• Help shape the R&D department’s technical direction, best practices, product ideas, and team processes

Requirements:

• 3+ years of full-stack development
• Experience with Typescript either with React or server-side development with Node.JS
• Highly fluent in English
• Demonstrated passion for teamwork and collaboration within an Agile environment

It will be great if you have:

• Experience with cloud providers, AWS, serverless architectures
• Experience with Mobility related products such as calendars and timetables, location services
• Experience with APIs and client facing integrations
