We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to provide senior level expertise to support design, project implementation, operational support, service requests, incident management and cyber security controls & protection measures.

This is a Full Time, Fixed Term (until 30 November 2025) position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at our Blackburn office in line with our hybrid working model.

About The Role

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager Cloud & IT Infrastructure, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:

• Engage with stakeholders and assist with cloud migration related analysis
• Produce application landing zone designs, provision cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, create migration runbooks and rollback plans, execute migrations and support with hypercare
• Enable migrated application workload transition to operations
• Supports Program/Project Managers to implement, upgrade and maintain cloud computing platforms in line with the Cloud Computing strategy
• Champion the Cloud and IT infrastructure initiatives and technologies with stakeholders and peers
  
  

About You

To be considered for this position you will possess:

• A postgraduate degree or relevant industry certification with extensive relevant experience
• Senior technical experience in mass migrations of application workloads from on-premises to Azure cloud
• Experience in migrating application workloads between private clouds on VMware stack highly regarded
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Applications, Microsoft Azure, cloud design, cloud networking, Azure DevOps, Azure Repos/GIT, Azure Pipelines, CI/CD, ARM Templates, BiCep files
• Experience in implementing, maintaining and managing a mature Enterprise Cloud and IT infrastructure
• Deep understanding and working knowledge addressing security controls and audit issues in the Cloud
• Significant experience in an Enterprise or Emergency Services and/or Health Services organisation
