DevOps Engineer

Intrinzic have partnered exclusively with an Sydney based tech company, to scale their DevOps Team.

To kick things off, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer with a software development background, who has extensive experience with AWS, Terraform and Kubernetes.

About the role:

You will work heavily on project work, implementing DevOps best practices, writing Golang code, working on greenfield Kubernetes projects, and implement observability. You will bridge development and operations by building and optimising development tools, automating release processes, and ensuring system scalability, security, and reliability - all whilst working with some of the most exciting technology in the market!!!

What you will be doing:

• Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure
• Automate and improve development, testing, and release processes
• Ensure system scalability, security, and resilience against cybersecurity threats
• Review and analyze code written by others to enhance quality and performance
• Collaborate with development teams to maintain and improve established processes
• Design and deploy infrastructure solutions within the AWS cloud environment
• Establish procedures for system troubleshooting and preventive maintenance

The ideal candidate:

• 3+ years' experience as a DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineer
• Experience provisioning AWS infrastructure using Terraform
• Software Engineering experience (Golang - preferred; Python or Java - okay)
• Kubernetes (EKS) experience
• Strong knowledge of Git and Git workflows
• Working knowledge of databases, including SQL and MongoDB
